There is power in a secret. There is magic in a code that only you and your reader understand: that power is only greater when your readers are the old gods, the spirits, or fellow magical workers. For centuries magicians, witches, and mediums have written or channeled mystical scripts to commune with angels, conjure devils, or weave spells. Working with these divine scribbles teaches us to separate the sacred from the ordinary and we can even develop our own working symbols to push our magic forward.
Attendees will be introduced to a series of magical alphabets used by witches, magicians, and occultists throughout the ages, including Theban, The Alphabet of the Angels, Enochian, and others. Participants will learn the magical uses of these alphabets, histories of their creation and use, and examples of ritual use. At the end of the course, students will be guided on how to create their own magical ciphers.
Levi Rowland is a teacher, card reader and practicing witch with over 14 years of experience with divination and the occult. His personal style is devoted to bringing back the Old World image of the fortune-teller through cartomancy, building personal relationships with clients, and experimenting with new techniques, tools, and ideas.
