ABOUT ABOUT

While the traditional Rider-Waite deck is preferred among many Tarot readers, it is a deck with a relatively short history (approximately 100 years).  The Lenormand deck is a descendent of ancient cartomancy using German and French playing cards, which trumps the traditional Tarot by a few hundred years. This class will teach the basics of how to perform divination with the traditional 36 card Lenormand system. Attendees will learn the basic symbols of each card, a brief history of the deck, and how to interpret a simple spread with Lenormand. Since Lenormand decks are less common than traditional Tarot, attendees will learn how to create a Lenormand deck with a simple traditional set of playing cards.

Learn to move beyond the Rider-Waite and deal with a card system that has ancient roots and more practical interpretations.
